Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Berat is also trying to realize one of its obligations toward its members, that is, representation and promotion of their businesses, as well as promotion of economical development of Berat.

This Website will serve to Chamber members, giving them one more possibility to communicate with home and foreign business. It is thought as a space of information and promotion for members of our Chamber, which is our main goal, but it is thought also as an instrument addressed to foreign businessmen that intend to create trade relationships with Berat city, growing rate of collaboration between countries.

Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Berat is part of economical and industrial development of this city. In its activity are reflected efforts of many merchants, people of industries, crafts and business, which are trying to develop their capitals and to push forward economical and industrial development of Berat.

Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Berat is created and carries out its activity based on the Law No. 7804. Second the 3 rd article of this Law, are members of the Chamber all Juridical and Physical Persons that have their activity in Berat.

Chamber of Commerce is subject of public right, independent, not profitable.

The main goal of our Chamber has been improvement of real service packet offered to businesses that are operating in Berat, intending their integration with national and international business.

Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Berat, owing to growing of experience, has arrived to increase the number of services and to change its face, editing Directory of its members, organizing fairs and exhibitions, workshops, meetings of high level, different conferences and trainings, all these serving for development of Berat business, especially for economical development of the city.

It can be mentioned as important for the Chamber the meetings with Prime Minister, with Minister of Transport, Minister of Energetic, Minister of Labor, Minister of Integration and many other meetings of high level of diplomacy, with Ambassador and Consul of Greece, with Consul of Italy in Vlora and with economic representatives of almost all Diplomatic corps accredited in Albania, which the Chamber has very good relations with.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Berat has organized several fairs. In 1998 it organized the General Regional Fair, which has been visited by ex President Meidani. In 2002 has been organized Agro- alimentary Regional Fair, visited by ex Prime Minister Nano, and in 2003 has been organized National Craft Fair.

Owing all this growing of our work, the number of members of the Chamber has increased, arriving more than 1,500, placing the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Berat between the most important chambers of Albania.

Having good relations with Chambers of Brindisi, Ancona, Firenze (Italy); Athens, Trikalla (Greece); Koblenz (Germany) and with many other home and foreign partners, the possibility of changing information and experience has become greater, having as priority the collaboration of businesses.

It is to be mentioned especially the collaboration with Chambers of Commerce of Italy and Greece , which we have achieved to realize bilateral projects with, within the frame of the project INTERREG 3.

Today Berat is playing an important role in economy of the country. It is known for production and tourism of considerable sizes and of contemporary standards, giving a positive impulse to regional and national development.

• Helps for assuring businessmen movement in fairs in Albania and abroad, respecting the procedures,
• Issues Notes for Embassies,
• Provide consulting for businesses, offering the expert groups of the Chamber,
• Issues the Certificate of Origin, as a indispensable document for exporting goods,
• Issues to its members the Membership certificate, a document considered by institutions and by Embassies, facilitating the procedures of visa equipping,
• Collaborates with Local and Central Government for protecting business interests.
